-
Altering or tampering with any electrical connections on the power supply is dangerous and will void the warranty.
-
Do not attempt any repairs without consulting Bewyld first. Unauthorised repair attempts will void the warranty.
medical conditions
If any of the below apply to you, consult your GP or specialist prior to using the ice bath:
-
Cardiovascular Issues, Obesity or Diabetes – Individuals suffering from obesity or with a medical history of heart disease, low or high blood pressure, circulatory problems, or diabetes should consult a physician prior to use.
-
Medications – Individuals who are using prescription drugs should seek the advice of their personal physician, as some medications may induce drowsiness, while others may affect heart rate, blood pressure, and circulation. Diuretics, barbiturates, and beta-blockers may impact the heart during cold water immersion.
-
Alcohol & Drug Abuse – Alcohol intoxication impairs judgment, meaning an individual may not recognise when their body is having a negative reaction to cold water. Alcohol also increases heart rate, which may be further raised by the stress of cold therapy. The use of alcohol, drugs, or medications before a cold water bath could lead to unconsciousness.
-
Elderly – The ability to maintain core body temperature decreases with age, primarily due to circulatory conditions.
-
Children – We do not recommend cold water therapy for children under the age of 16.
-
Fever & Insensitivity to Cold – Individuals with insensitivity to cold or who have a fever should refrain from using the ice bath until the fever subsides.
-
Pregnancy – Pregnant women should consult a physician before using an ice bath. We do not recommend ice baths for pregnant women.
-
Surgeries – If you've had any surgery, consult your physician before using the ice bath.
-
Pacemakers / Defibrillators – Please discuss the possible risks with your doctor.
